Team Maya consists of dedicated individuals who will ensure a delightful experience. Komang provides delicious meals and a clean environment, while Illuh, the manager, offers warmth and competence. Kadek, the gardener, creates stunning landscapes. Ketut maintains the pool, and Nyoman offers guided tours. The Canadian owners, Wayne and Robin, have a passion for exploring Indonesia.
Illuh
Illuh is Villa Maya’s manager and she will be your host during your stay. Illuh is always available for any questions or needs. Her warmth and competence will help you to have a wonderful experience.
Komang
Our wonderful staff, Komang, cooks delicious breakfasts, cleans daily and will help make your stay comfortable. She also makes offerings to help keep the good spirits at Maya and keep the evil spirits away.
Kadek
Kadek is a master gardener who creates art with the colours, textures and layers of foliage.
Ketut
Ketut looks after the pool. He comes to Maya three times a week to make sure the water chemistry is balanced.
Nyoman
Nyoman is a driver and guide. He speaks excellent English and can take you anywhere in Bali. Plus, he is a really great guy who can also help you understand Balinese culture.

Wayne and Robin
If you are staying at Villa Maya you won’t meet Wayne and Robin. They are the Canadian owners of Villa Maya. They met working on a Development Project in Indonesia 38 years ago and still love exploring different islands and aspects of this rich archipelago.

The villa was absolutely stunning. Easily our favourite accomodation that we’ve had on our many trips to Bali. It’s exactly what you see in the pictures and it was an incredibly peaceful haven from the business of other parts of Ubud. Between the air conditioned rooms, the open air living space and dipping in the pool, we never wanted to leave.
Everything we needed was available.
There’s a very sweet coffee shop and a few very nice restaurants right close by, but you’re in a very quiet area with a mix of locals and villas.
The house manager, Iluh, and her staff Komang were great. They were both very helpful and so friendly! Iluh helped to arrange transport and advise on activities and Komang cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning. We loved Villa Maya!

Words just will not do here justice. One of my favourite stays. From the minute we arrived, we just felt so at home and so welcome. Iluh is the kindest soul who made us feel so welcome from the get go. Nothing was too much to ask of her. She was always just a text away. We were blessed to have Komang visit each morning to make us breakfast. The rooms were out of this world, the beds were so comfortable. I’ve never seen a bathroom like it, the outdoor bathtub was so special. We loved to chill by the pool each day. We loved here so much we extended our stay twice!! The house has everything you could ask for. If you wish to cook they have everything you would need to rustle up a lovely meal.
The surrounds are so peaceful. It’s a very quiet neighbourhood with a 10 minute bike ride into the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The biggest thank you to Iluh and Komang for making my stay in Ubud so special. Villa Maya will be a place I think back on very fondly.
